Do you think twilight will become an American Classic?

Is the fanatic fan base enough to call the book a classic? Do you think in 10, 20, 30 years the Twilight books be held up along sided others as American Classics?

No. Twilight I don't think will become a classic because it is not original. If you look at classics, they are books with story ideas or characters that no one has ever created before - take the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe for example - it was the first of its kind. With Twilight, there are heaps of other vampire-human love stories out there, so it's not exactly original. I think it's a great book, but it's just been done before. We've already got a classic about vampires - Bram Stoker's Dracula, and I don't think Twilight can live up to that fantastic piece of literature.
