Wing Aspencade

1985 Gold Wing Aspencade M/C Carborator cleaning. Can it be done without taking off the Carbs?
The M/C sometimes starts but sputters, pops and back-fires with the choke on or off. I've tried spraying Carb De-Greaser through the Air Intake but can't seem to get it to the Carbs. Without having to take the Carbs off the bike and cook them is there a way to try and get them freed up? I was thinking to unscrew out the jets and spray some break-up solvent through there. Thanks for your help JACK*
Jack,
The only way to do this right is to remove the carbs, disassemble, clean, put back together and reinstall. However you can try a product called AMS Power Foam carburetor cleaner. Remove the air box and follow instructions on the can. DO THIS OUTSIDE and away from open windows, because the amount of crap that will come out your tailpipe is beyond belief.
Good luck and ride safe,
Mike
