Aero Miles
Should I buy this scooter?

A Honda Aero 50cc only 314 miles on it and only $ 600.00 but ... is a "83! would be my first bike. I do not mind traveling in the bike lane, but I have to get up some hills and I (WinCE) 200 lbs / a! This One has the power to get up some hills? Is it more important than age or mileage when dealing vice versa is falling apart before? I have to decide as soon as possible Please help! Thanks to all who responded so! I have changed opinion and bought a Yamaha Vino Classic 50cc, 2003, for $ 1300. , With 500 miles on it. I know you will not have much power and no doubt stirred by traffic, but I feel safer with him, compared to 83. Thanks again to everyone who responded! Marsha

Honda has a reputation for building a motorcycle, that past, but since this is a '83 model, the $ 600 you'll pay for the bike is just the beginning. More than likely you need to clean / Rebuild the carburetor, replace the battery and new tires, replace old air filter as the Areo 50 had a drive, replace the drive belt and possibly reseal the engine (rare but sometimes necessary). Then again it might be good as it is and great race. To give you an idea of the longevity of these bikes, I have a '82 Honda Urban Express that Runs Very well. My trip was going to do 80 miles with him? NO! Around the city is well though. I have listed some links below. The first is, my scooter, a site that shows the old Honda Motorcycle / moped. The second is the Honda parts direct to avoid the kind against which try to sell a new bicycle. The 50th was a Areo NB50 if I remember correctly. A little TLC and you can run any old Honda as well as a new Honda and look twice as nice. Oh, yes, the Areo 50 is said to be capable of reaching speeds of 40-45 mph without any problem. Hills will make you lose speed (30-35), but not at ground level would have problems. I think I on him. Good Luck and Ride Safe
